Maahika Mehta obtained her BSc (Honours) Biomechanics from the University of Calgary, studying the influence of power training on muscle characteristics in youth with cerebral palsy, under the supervision of Dr. Leigh Gabel. Her research background includes investigating the female gut–bone interaction and contributing to projects spanning sport biomechanics and product development with the Garmin Canada, Sport Product Testing & Biomechanigg research teams. 

Now a Biomedical Engineering Master’s student, Maahika is excited to continue exploring the intersection of biomechanics, wearable technology, and advanced data analytics in collaboration with Orpyx Medical Technologies, developing sensor-driven approaches for gait and frailty monitoring.
